How to download a Facebook video
- Copy the video link. In the Facebook app, open the video or reel, tap Share and choose Copy link. On a computer, right-click the video's time stamp or open it and copy the address from your browser.
- Paste it above. Tap Paste (or paste into the box yourself) and press Download. SaveItOk checks every quality Facebook offers for that video.
- Pick a quality and save. Choose 1080p for the sharpest picture or a lower quality for a smaller file. Every option includes sound.
Facebook links that work
https://www.facebook.com/page/videos/…: a video on a page or profilehttps://www.facebook.com/watch?v=…: a video opened in Facebook Watchhttps://www.facebook.com/reel/…: a Facebook reelhttps://fb.watch/…: the short link from the Share button
HD and 1080p, with the real resolution shown
Facebook usually offers an HD and an SD version of each video but doesn't say how sharp they actually are. SaveItOk measures them and shows the real resolution, such as 1080p or 400p, so you can pick knowing exactly what you'll get.
For some videos, Facebook keeps its sharpest version as separate picture and sound streams. SaveItOk joins them into one MP4 with sound for you. Versions labelled (VP9) use a newer format that some older phones can't play; choose another quality if yours won't open it.
Save the sound on its own
Need only the audio, say for a speech, song or podcast clip? When Facebook provides the sound as a separate track, Original Sound appears under the quality options. Press Download Audio to save it.
Works on Android, iPhone and computers
- Android: videos go to your Downloads folder and show up in your gallery app.
- iPhone and iPad: in Safari, downloads go to the Files app, in Downloads. Open the video and tap Share, then Save Video, to add it to Photos.
- Windows, Mac and Linux: files save to your usual Downloads folder.
What isn't supported
- Private videos, and videos in private groups or shared with friends only.
- Live streams that are still broadcasting.
- Now and then Facebook changes how a page is built and a public video can't be read. If that happens, try again later.
Download responsibly
Videos belong to the people and pages that posted them. Keep downloads for personal viewing, or ask permission before re-uploading or using them elsewhere. See our Terms and copyright policy.

What quality can I download?
Every quality Facebook offers for the video, often 1080p and a smaller SD version. SaveItOk measures each one and shows its real resolution, so you know what you're getting.
Can I save only the sound from a Facebook video?
Yes. When Facebook provides the sound as a separate track, use Download Audio under Original Sound.
