How to download an Instagram reel or video
- Copy the link. In the Instagram app, open the reel or post, tap the Share (paper plane) icon and choose Copy link. On a computer, copy the address from your browser.
- Paste it above. Tap Paste (or paste into the box yourself) and press Download. SaveItOk finds the video and lists the qualities available.
- Pick a quality and save. Choose the quality you want; every option includes sound. The file saves straight to your device.

Links with extra bits at the end, like ?igsh=… from the Share button, work as they are; you don't need to tidy them up.
Best quality, with sound
Instagram stores each reel in several versions. SaveItOk lists the ones that include sound and labels them by resolution, such as 720p or 1080p, so you can choose between the sharpest picture and a smaller file.
For some reels, Instagram keeps its sharpest version as separate picture and sound streams. When that happens, SaveItOk joins them into one MP4 for you, so the top-quality download still has sound. Versions labelled (VP9) use a newer format that some older phones can't play; pick another quality if yours won't open it.
Save just the sound
When Instagram provides a reel's sound as its own track, you'll see Original Sound under the quality options. Press Download Audio to keep only the music or voice-over.
What isn't supported
- Reels shown only to logged-in users. Instagram hides some reels from visitors who aren't signed in. SaveItOk never logs in to Instagram, so it tells you when a reel is one of these.
- Photo-only posts, stories and private accounts. SaveItOk downloads public videos only.

The best version Instagram serves for that video, with sound. When Instagram keeps a sharper version as separate picture and sound, SaveItOk joins them so you still get one file with sound, often in 1080p.
Can I download only the audio from a reel?
Yes, when Instagram provides the sound as its own track. Look for Original Sound under the quality options and press Download Audio.
Why does a reel say it's only shown to logged-in users?
Instagram shows some reels only to people who are signed in. SaveItOk doesn't log in to Instagram, so those reels can't be downloaded here.
Can I download Instagram photos, stories or private accounts?
No. SaveItOk downloads public videos only. Photo-only posts, stories and private accounts aren't supported.
Where are downloaded Instagram videos saved?
Wherever your browser saves downloads: usually the Downloads folder on Android, the Files app (Downloads) in Safari on iPhone, and your Downloads folder on a computer.
