How to convert Arabic audio to text

  1. Add your Arabic audio. Upload a voice note, recording or video file, or paste a link to a public Instagram, Facebook or TikTok video.
  2. Keep Arabic selected. The spoken language is already set to Arabic, which gives the most accurate result. Tick Translate to English if you want an English transcript instead.
  3. Copy or download. Press Transcribe, then copy the text or download it as a .txt file or .srt subtitles.

Written in Arabic script (العربية)

Arabic speech comes back written in Arabic script (العربية), ready to paste into WhatsApp, documents, captions or notes. Need it in English? Tick Translate to English before transcribing, or press Translate on the finished transcript. The timings are kept, so English subtitles stay in sync with the video.

Great for

  • Students: turn recorded lectures and classes into notes.
  • Creators: add Arabic subtitles to reels and YouTube videos so people can watch with the sound off.
  • Journalists and researchers: transcribe interviews instead of typing them out.
  • Everyone: read long voice notes instead of listening to them.

Private and free

Your audio is used only to create the transcript and is deleted from our server right after; we don't keep recordings or transcripts. Transcribing is free, up to 10 times an hour per person. Files can be up to 60 MB and an hour long.

Other languages? The main Audio to Text page detects around 100 languages automatically.
